My name is Sika. I am currently living in Ghana. Racist and sexist experiences have influenced me and caused confusion about who I really am and raised question of where I truly belong, Travelling in general, and for me especially trips to the African continent, have educated me and continue to enrich me till today. I have studied Sociology and African Languages.
My work today is centered around my different identities, as a Black German Women, as a Feminist, as a member of the African Diaspora, as a Black Yoga Teacher, as an activist, as an artist, as a sociologist and a Wellness Advocate. My goal is to invite Black/African womxn for a collective healing journey, centered around decolonizing yoga and wellness. I organize Yoga retreats in Ghana twice a year. As a racial justice activist and intuitive healer, wellness is my lifeline. If my cup is empty I have nothing to give to others, so it is on me to´keep my cup filled.
